หากย้อนไปในช่วงปี 2000 อาจจะนึกถึงวงดนตรีร๊อคที่ประสบความสำเร็จสุดๆอย่าง โมเดิร์นด๊อก ซิลลี่ฟูล หรือจะเป็นแบบวงอินดี้อย่าง คิดแนปเปอร์และ เดย์ทริปเปอร์ แต่วงดนตรีร๊อคน้องใหม่อย่าง “เรดทเวนตี้” ดูเหมือนจะยังไม่มีใครรู้ว่าพวกเขาได้นำเอาซาวน์ของวงกีตาร์พ๊อพฝั่งอังกฤษเข้ามาในวงการเพลงไทยด้วย

เรดทเวนตี้ประกอบไปด้วยเพื่อนสี่คนที่หลงไหลกับดนตรีบริทพ๊อพ “แบงค์” สรวิศ อินสิริพงษ์ ตำแหน่งนักร้องนำและเขียนเพลง
“ฉิม” ประพาน ฉิมตะวัน มือกีตาร์ “โอ๊ค” อรรถพล ไพรศรี มือเบส “เบ้ง” สมภพ แพร่แสงเอี่ยม มือกลอง วงบริทร๊อคสี่ชิ้นที่ได้พัฒนาแรงบันดาลใจที่ดูเป็นร่างหยาบๆของวง Oasis และ Suede ตัดกับ เมโลดี้และฮุคแบบ Beatles

เรดทเวนตี้สร้างชื่อจากการไปปรากฏตัวเล่นดนตรีในคอนเสิร์ต indy inchange ที่หอประชุมมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ปี 2002 และอีกครั้งในงาน Fat Festival ครั้งที่สอง ปีเดียวกัน จนเกิดเป็นกระแสวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ในหมู่แฟนเพลงแนวอัลเทอร์เนทีฟ ถึงการแสดงสดที่จัดจ้านของพวกเขา และในแง่ซาวน์ดนตรีที่แตกต่างออกไปของเรดทเวนตี้

หลังจากการออกวางขายของ EP เทปที่ทำเองเมื่อหลายปีก่อนนั้น พวกเขาก็หายหน้าไปจากวงการเพลงนับหลายปี จนวันนี้พวกเขาก็ได้กลับมาพร้อมอัลบั้มเปิดตัวชื่อเดียวกันกับวง “Redtwenty

Back in early 2000, with the successful by numbers of rock bands like Moderndog, Silly Fools or indie artists like Kidnappers and Daytripper. A rookie rockers Redtwenty seems to have come from nowhere. They are responsible for returning British guitar pop to Thai music scene. Led by 25-year-old guitarist/songwriter Sorrawis Insiriphong (Bank), 26-year-old guitarist Paphan Chimtawan (Chim), 26-year-old Attapol Praisri (Oak) on bass, and 27-year-old Sompop Praesangeiam (Bengz) on drums. The Brit-rock inspired quartet adopts the rough image of Oasis and Suede, crosses it with "Beatlesque" melodies and hooks.
Redtwenty gained huge success when they were invited to play at Indy In Change festival at Thammasat University’s main auditorium in 2002, and at 2nd Fat festival. Soon after that, the band becomes the most talk of the town among many alternative rock fans for their outstanding music and stunning live performances.
And after the release of self-made EP cassettes few years ago, the band was just disappeared for many years. Now they’re back again with self-titled debut album is finally in stores.
